Born at the Visit Oromia National Hackathon
In 2023 the Horan Technologies founding team entered the Visit Oromia national hackathon with a simple but powerful idea: Ethiopia is one of the world's most culturally and naturally rich countries, yet most of its extraordinary destinations remain invisible to travelers. HotSpot was built in 48 hours to change that. The judges agreed awarding the team first place and validating the vision of a home-grown platform that could finally put Ethiopia's hidden gems on the global travel map.
